Audition Requirement
Hello! Congratulations on deciding to Audition for Instrumental Music at Campo.
For your Wind Ensemble/Symphonic Band audition, your adjudicator can ask you any major or minor scale and expect that you can play it in one octave. In addition, we will ask that you prepare one section of the piece (search by your instrument name) from the WE/SB folder.

Jazz Auditions
Please prepare ONE of the etudes included for your instrument.
Play the head and improvise one chorus of “Cool Struttin” by Sonny Clark. You’ll use this backing track in the audition.
Note there is no printed music for this tune: you are meant to learn it by ear.
We highly recommend all prospective and current music students consider enrolling in private music lessons and joining a musiccamp, workshop, or specialized band during the school year or summer months. These experiences are invaluable for growth and developing skills outside of the classroom.
